Yes, “Back Closet Ministries” has now recorded 260 radio programs for teaching from Genesis till the Ascension of Christ, and we also now have 107 programs edited and ready to send to our radio guy, PTL!!!
All together our team has distributed around 750 radios to different family heads in many different villages. (See photos below) The earlier version was the red radio and then GalCom International came up with a superior model that is blue. We also purchased little solar panels so they have some help getting the radios charged during times when there isn’t much sun during the Rainy Season. They charge much faster this way than with just the little solar panel on the unit. There are still many villages that didn’t receive radios this year, so we are trusting the Lord to provide for the additional purchase of 1000 units to pass out so more of the P nation can hear the “Good News” of the Word of God.

Any Day Now!!
Yes!! I, Merrill, finished recording approximately 260 half-hour Bible podcasts in the P language for our beloved brethren way down south. And now Teresa and I have 107 edited and ready to send to our radio guy. The word could come at any time that we are ready to switch from the Colossians teaching to this new series which gives them good foundational teaching from the OT to prepare them for the NT, and the amazing Gospel of Christ. So, PRAISE THE LORD…that those 107 programs are edited and ready to go. PRAY that the new series will be started in God’s perfect time!!
435 Radios!!
It was toward the end of April that members of our team, both national and indigenous, traveled way upriver on one of the large rivers in the area where there is a heavy P population and distributed around 435 solar-powered, pre-tuned, shortwave radios to approximately 20 different villages. The team oriented them on how to use the radios, charge them, care for them, and catch the program at the correct time. So, PRAISE THE LORD…that these radios have been distributed and PRAY…that they’ll be able to correctly follow the instructions they received. Most of them have never owned any electronic equipment before and they live in a world of much dust and open houses. So yes, thanks much for praying about that.
1000 More Needed!!
And also, up and beyond the 20 villages where they distributed radios are at least 22 more villages, plus numerous villages downriver, as well as on the other side of that river. So, we have just been in contact with GALCOM INTERNATIONAL to order another 1000 units so we have enough for the many villages out there. The units are 15 CDN dollars apiece. PLEASE PRAY for God’s provision of the needed 15 grand, and let’s PRAISE THE LORD in advance that He will get them here in plenty of time for distribution next Dry Season, which starts in December. Live-Stream Interactive Teaching!!
On June 8th and 9th Lord willing, I will be enjoying an interactive teaching time with many of the P saints for about ten hours!!!! The Pia people will be traveling to P-land by river and will set up the StarLink connection. Then we’ll have a wonderful time of teaching and interaction. Wow! PRAISE GOD for this new amazing opportunity. Lord willing these “online” teaching sessions will be realized once per month throughout the Rainy Season, which is right till October, as a rule. Please PRAY that all the equipment will work well and that the Lord will open doors for this to become a regular reality.
The New Chapel!!
PRAISE THE LORD that the New Chapel was pretty well finished except for the walls. We put up a temporary canvas-type wall to keep out the wind and rain until the proper mud and grass walls can be constructed next Dry Season. PRAY for God to use this chapel for His glory, and that a lot of spiritual growth and fellowship will take place in this building.
Two New Families!!
So, who are these two couples? Well let me introduce them to you. The first photo is of Humberto and Maria. They have no children yet. And the second photo is of Genaro and Maria (with their pastor in the background). The second couple have three kids and he was one of the pastors in one of the Pia churches. And so yeah, these are the families that our great Missionary God has challenged to step forward to give their lives to see the P churches brought to greater maturity and to be more established economically. These two precious couples will also be backed by 214 different Pia churches who will also be sending gardening teams, building teams, and whatever the work will be needing. How we PRAISE GOD for this marvelous new phase of the P work!! Let’s be PRAYING for these families as they are visiting many different churches right now, and then as they begin their formal Missionary Training at a Training Center that the Pia people have just opened. Yes, glory to God for His mighty workings, and for the many surprises He has for His people!
