02/15/05 Tribal Update: Good to be home!!!
![]() |
Hello Everyone:
We are back in Venezuela and glad to be here! It feels great to be home!! We arrived in the country on February 3rd and are now in our cozy little apartment on the ninth floor once again...drinking great Venezuelan coffee, enjoying wonderful Venezuelan food, and loving the warm weather!! We have been working on settling in, fighting a few cockroaches who seem to think they now own the place, and today we began a two-week translation seminar that is sure to prove helpful to our work. So yes, it is indeed good to be home!!
Praise:
-for a great trip down and that all our luggage arrived safely
-for our new little granddaughter, Julia Anne, who arrived December 28. She is a little beauty!!!! (See Picture! Yes, we are proud grandparents!!)
-for a good furlough and for good times with so many of you all -for the opportunity to be back for our 6th term on the field
Please Pray:
-that we'll really learn a lot from this translation seminar and that we won't grow weary through the long sessions
-for the upcoming rendezvous with the Tribal pastors and their families, that it would be a real time of encouragement and growth for all of us
-for continued freedom to work here in Venezuela -for the Tribal believers, that they will continue to grow in their trials. Many are still deeply hurting over their dead children. Pray that they will stand strong on His Word and trust their Father
-for quick healing for my ankle. I sprained it in the airport just after we arrived in the country and so am hobbling around on crutches
Okay, all for now. Thanks so very much for your encouragement and partnership and for being a part of the team. We do indeed thank God for you all.
So thankful for His Great Grace,
Merrill and Teresa
